President's Message: I would like to thank you for this opportunity to serve as your 2016 - 2018 District President - I am honored.  I joined the Woman's Club of Redondo Beach in 2001.  The first meeting I attended I was hooked.  The good work the club was doing and the lovely ladies I met convinced me I was in the right place.  Two months later my Mom joined.  I held almost every Board position and several Chairmanships and became President for the years 2006 - 2008.  I was so enamored of our organization that I joined the Marina District as Art Chairman in 2004, Corresponding Secretary, Advocates for Children, Ambassador, Amenities, 1st Vice President and now District President.  I have, thru the years, belonged to many organizations as I'm sure we all have, but I have not met the caliber of women that is in our organization.  I have been honored to meet and call my friends ladies, some of whom are no longer with us, that have mentored and supported me during my years in CFWC.  Thank you to all of you.  My personal goal for this administration is to increase attendance at our District meetings and functions, promote leadership, provide our Clubs with helpful information, promote the activities of all of our Clubs to help support one another and to recognize the accomplishments of our Clubs, all of this while having a great time. My theme for this administration is "Magical Mermaids are as Creative and Beautiful as our Federation Sisters".  My logo is a Mermaid.  Why a Mermaid?  Well Marina Mermaids sounds pretty cute but more than that we Clubwomen know how much work goes into raising money and donations for our philanthropies.  Mermaids are enticing - well show us a worthwhile project or a great need and we too can be enticing - enticing companies and individuals for donations - enticing family and friends to attend our fundraisers, and enticing each other to have a great time while working hard to reach our goals.  I hope we can entice you too to become an officer or a chairman.  Yes we are Magical, Creative and Beautiful - we are the Marina Mermaids!
